This is a true bucket list holiday, during which you’ll make memories in Finnish Lapland AND Northern Norway!
From June to the end of August you can experience the Arctic summer, the midnight sun magic, a whole host of wildlife and exciting nature-based activities available only in this geographical region. The rivers, lakes and the Arctic Ocean stay refreshing and cool, as does the Arctic weather for the most parts. The sun never sets below the horizon, which enables truly unique adventures to take place.
We have put together a very cool Arctic summer holiday package for the informed and adventurous world travelers:
- 5 nights accommodation in an authentic Finnish style cabin with a private sauna and grand views over the Arctic landscapes are included in this holiday, along with all meals prepared at our river front restaurant from local ingredients to match all dietary needs.
- Unique experiences on indigenous Sámi lands are also included to make this a well rounded moderately action packed and memorable vacation. Choose between: sailing the Arctic Ocean and feasting on King crabs or Hanging out with the adorable Puffins and other seabirds and wildlife on the Arctic Ocean. Also a guided hike, a sacred midnight sun experience and a cultural village tour & sightseeing are all included.

Arctic Summer all-inclusive holiday package itinerary
Tuesday: Pick-up from Ivalo airport with a shopping stop in the supermarket. Arrival to Aurora Holidays. Welcome dinner.
Wednesday: After breakfast, a guided village tour. Lunch and dinner at the resort. Afternoon is free time to relax or explore the peace and quiet of the surrounding nature.
Thursday: Adventure day to Northern Norway! Your choice of activity on the Arctic Ocean; either Sailing and King crabbing or Puffins and other wildlife on the Arctic Ocean.
Friday: After breakfast; free time to relax or explore the peace and quiet of the surrounding nature. We head out on the Sacred midnight sun experience ( approx. 3hrs) in the evening.
Saturday: After a late breakfast, we head out to the guided hike in the wilderness. We’ll enjoy a packed lunch out in the field and return to the resort for relaxation and dinner.
Sunday: After breakfast we will transport you back to the airport and give you a big hug.
Note, the above is an example itinerary, we reserve the right to make changes based on weather and other safety reasons to give you the best, safest and most memorable experience during your holiday.
You are free to add additional activities from our activity list, and there are plenty of things to do around the resort area on your free time. You will have access to our fire pits, the river to swim in and our private hiking trail to the highlands leaving from behind our resort. The long summer days and the midnight sun are also a photographer’s dream; there’s beautiful landscapes, wildflowers and fauna to photograph and enjoy.

- *Traveling with a friend or family: You will share a cabin with them privately. Each cabin has two bedrooms and sleeps up to 5 people. Traveling solo: you will have your own private room in a shared cabin with possibly another solo traveler.

Wether you are joining us for the cool Arctic summer, stunning Arctic Autumn or the extraordinary winter; we are located in northernmost Finnish Lapland, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy Lapland destinations, surrrounded by vast wilderness and a short drive away from Norway. All of our holiday packages will let you experience both Finnish Lapland and Northern Norway in one holiday!
Small Groups
We think that everyone should have enough space to enjoy their holidays. Our groups are usually about 10 to 14 people per week.
Responsible and sustainable travel is about longer stays and more authentic experiences than masstourism destinations can offer.
Cozy Accommodation
You will stay in one of our cozy wooden typical Finnish cottage. All our cottages include a private sauna that you can use as much as you want. Our accommodation is not built to entertain brief touristy trends; but instead is authentic to our culture and has circular economy capability.
Transportation
We take care of you from the moment you land in the North until the moment you leave. We will wait for you at the Ivalo airport on Tuesdays at 13:30pm and drop you back at the terminal at the end of your holiday on Sundays by 11:30am. (times may change per holiday package)
Knowledgeable Guides
Our guides will take care of you during the entire holiday from start to finish. They are super friendly and know everything about the region. You will be in perfect and safe hands during your holiday.
