We’ve put together the perfect Arctic Fishing packages for you. All packages include:
- 5 Nights accommodation in an authentic Finnish style cabin with a private sauna and grand views over the Arctic landscapes is included in this holiday, along with all meals prepared at our river front restaurant from local ingredients to match all dietary needs.
- 4 Days of guided Arctic fishing at the best spots known by locals, around the most opportune times for target species.
- We’ll take care of all the necessary permits, you just cast your fly and enjoy.
- Unique experiences on indigenous Sami lands in northernmost Finnish Lapland can also be added to your vacation to make this a well rounded moderately action backed and memorable vacation. Choose between: a King crab safari and feast in Norway or Hanging out with the adorable Puffins and other seabirds and wildlife on the Arctic Ocean. Also a guided hike, or a cultural Village Tour & Sightseeing can be added to your stay.

Arctic Fishing all-inclusive holiday package itinerary
For your optimal fishing experience the location and time of day of the fishing activity will be decided on location on day by day basis so that we can take you to the best locations in the best possible weather conditions each day.
Tuesday: Pick-up from Ivalo airport and arrival to Aurora Holidays. Welcome dinner.
Wednesday: Guided fishing expedition. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Thursday: Guided fishing expedition. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Friday: Guided fishing expedition. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Saturday: Guided fishing expedition. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Sunday: After breakfast we will transport you back to the airport to travel back home with memorable fishing stories from the Arctic.
You are free to add additional activities from our activity list, and there are plenty of things to do around the resort area on your free time. You will have access to our fire pits, the river to swim in and our private hiking trail to the highlands leaving from behind our resort. The long summer days and the midnight sun are also a photographers dream; there’s beautiful landscapes, wildflowers and fauna to photograph and enjoy.

Grayling, trout, pink salmon and other species
Your dates for your Arctic Fishing holiday are planned in accordance with target species and best fly fishing locations in the area.
During the first summer weeks your guide will take you to the most abundant and beautiful grayling fishing destinations.
Later in the summer our guided fly fishing adventures are directed more towards finding the most amazing trout fishing spots.
Depending on the year and timing of your holiday, the invasive but oh so tasty pink salmon is also on the menu.
Other abundant species in the area include pike, perch, white fish and arctic char.
Regenerative fishing tourism in Utsjoki, Finnish Lapland
Due to the changing environment, over fishing and other misfortunate occurrences; Atlantic salmon which used to be an abundant native to the Teno River, has severely declined in numbers in the past decade.
Local culture, livelihoods and local people have been severely impacted by the Atlantic salmon fishing restrictions that followed the decline in the population.
Pink salmon has been gaining ground in the local water ways as an invasive species in the recent years. And there is a whole host of other beautiful and tasty local species to sustainably fish in the area.
Joining a Fishing holiday with Aurora Holidays you are contributing livening up the fishing livelihoods in the community, removing invasive species from the rivers (pink salmon) and taking part in so called proxy fishing; bringing food and joy to the locals. We develped this concept in collaboration with Utsjoki municipality during a ‘Fishing tourism knowledge development project’.
Not only will your catch be utilised as a part of your own culinary experience in Arctic Lapland, you can also contribute and leave behind something positive as a traveller.
In the summer of 2025 we participated in a pilot with our fishing guests in collaboration with the Utsjoki Parish and were able to distribute traditional salmon soup, the dish the culture held dear during the Atlantic salmon era, as a food aid to 35 elderly households in the area. Proving that this type of proxy fishing is possible and very welcomed in our remote area.
This is now a part of our mode of operandi and as our guest you are participating in regenerative tourism which leaves the place you visit a little bit better than how you found it. Thank you.

Cozy Accommodation
You will stay in one of our cozy wooden typical Finnish cottage. All our cottages include a private sauna that you can use as much as you want. Our accommodation is not built to entertain brief touristy trends; but instead is authentic to our culture and has circular economy capability.
