Our cottages are located in the northernmost part of Finnish Lapland, right near the Norwegian border. We are 8 kms from the village of Utsjoki, along the road towards Nuorgam. We are an excellent choice for those who wish to see the northern lights. We are about as close to the North Pole you can get in the EU. And the closer you are to the North Pole, the better your chances to see the northern lights.

Utsjoki is the name of both the municipality and the village where we are located, 450km north of the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland. Utsjoki village is a small place, but it has everything you need for a perfect holiday including a small supermarket in case you ever run out of food and plenty of landmarks to explore during our Utsjoki Village Tour. We are surrounded by breathtaking nature, ideal for outdoor activities, photography and relaxation.

Utsjoki is the only place in Finland that is home to more Sami people than Finns, which is why it’s also known as Saami Village. Utsjoki is a great place to visit if you want to learn more about Sami culture and history.

The village of Utsjoki and its surrounding areas are not your typical tourist hotspots, which means you can enjoy untouched nature without the crowds. Since we are away from any cities, there is virtually no light pollution even where our cottages are located.
