According to old legends the majestic reindeer of Lapland were born on rocky cliffs. The caretaker of the reindeer, called Laus, raised and reared every member of the herd and decided who was fortunate enough to be chosen to provide for his family’s sustenance. Throughout history, reindeer have been a source of livelihood and nutrition for the people of Lapland, as well as their leather and bone being used in the making of clothing, tools and handicrafts. On Tuesday evening, our chef will prepare a starter of local fish and feature reindeer as the main course.
